
Edward A. Ramsey is a practicing CPA and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner. He is the principal of Ramsey Financial Services, Inc. (an investment, financial, and insurance services company), and Ramsey & Associates, CPA, PC (an accounting, tax preparation, and management consulting firm), with offices located in Glenn Dale, Maryland, and Vienna, Virginia.
He started his professional career in 1974, when he joined the international accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand in Tehran, Iran, as an auditor. His 33 years of experience in the accounting and financial management field has been more defined over the past 19 years as he has focused his practice on solving tax problems, as well as on retirement, estate and financial planning, and fee-based investment services for individuals and small business clients. Ed's clients range from middle-income families to high-net-worth individuals, including many physicians and dentists.
Ed holds a BA in Accounting and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition to holding the CFP® certification, Ed is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and a Certified Healthcare Business Consultant (CHBCTM).
Additionally, Ed is an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®, member FINRA/SIPC, a Registered Investment Adviser; and he holds life, health, and annuity insurance licenses as a representative of Commonwealth Insurance Agency, a full-service insurance subsidiary of Commonwealth Financial Network.
